Who we are

SANE Church (“SANE,” “we,” “us”) operates the SANE Church website and mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information you give us when you sign up: first and last name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and birthday.

Content you create in the app: journal entries, prayers, notes, saved verses, devotional and study history, and coloring artwork.

Voice recordings you choose to make in the journal, prayer, or community room features. Recordings sent for transcription are processed and are not used to train models.

Basic technical data such as device type, browser, and error logs, used to keep the app working.

How we use it

To create and secure your account, sync your content across your devices, personalize devotionals and study plans, respond to your messages, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising in the app.

Service providers

We use trusted processors to host our database and authentication, transcribe and generate text for the study and companion tools, deliver the live audio community room, and stream video. They may only process your data to provide those services to us.

Your content is private by default

Journal entries, prayers, and notes are visible only to you. Anything you speak in the live community room is heard by others present in that room. Do not share sensitive personal details in shared spaces.

Children

The app is intended for users 13 and older. Children may use the coloring Bible under a parent or guardian's account and supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Your rights and account deletion

You can view and update your information at any time in the app under Profile. You can permanently delete your account and all of your content from Profile → Delete account, or by emailing grow@sane.church. Deletion is processed within 30 days and cannot be undone.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, or restrict processing of your data. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Data retention and security

We keep your account data while your account is active. Content is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by row-level security so only you can read your own rows, and passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and notify you in the app.
